IBM & Ferrari HP Unveil Formula 1 Fan Engagement App

In a bold move to transform digital fan engagement in motorsport, IBM and Scuderia Ferrari HP have unveiled a completely redesigned mobile application aimed at strengthening the connection between Ferrari's global fanbaseānearly 400 million strongāand the team's on-track performance.
The strategic collaboration introduces cutting-edge generative AI capabilities to the App for the first time, delivering dynamic, real-time content and immersive features.
A partnership driven by innovation
At the core of the new app is a shared mission between IBM and Scuderia Ferrari HP: to combine world-class AI with the passion and tradition of one of Formula 1's most iconic teams.
"IBM and Ferrari are bound by a shared commitment to progress, innovation and excellence," said Jonathan Adashek, IBM's Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications. "With AI, we're creating a new blueprint for digital fan engagement that brings fans even closer to Scuderia Ferrari whether it's race weekend or not."
AI at the heart of the experience
Powered by IBM's Watsonx platform and Granite models, the app's latest features redefine how fans experience race weekends.
Among the standout additions is the AI-generated Race Centre, offering near real-time race summaries compiled from live team data. Within hours of each race, fans receive narrative-driven recaps that include insights from drivers and the team principal, offering a level of detail previously available only to those inside the paddock.
Complementing this are Post-Race Insights, an interactive suite of data visualisations encompassing telemetry, weather, track conditions, tyre strategies and session results. These visuals not only inform but engage, letting fans explore the inner workings of each race in depth.
Historical context is brought to life through AI-driven comparisons, allowing fans to understand how current performance stacks up against Ferrari's legendary past. Whether reliving iconic victories or analysing evolving driver strategies, the app seamlessly integrates history and innovation.
Multilingual - global appeal
For the first time, Ferrari enthusiasts can access the app in Italian, making the digital experience more inclusive for homegrown fans.
The multilingual support demonstrates the team's commitment to engaging with the global Tifosi community on their terms.

More than just a race companion, the app introduces interactive features that allow fans to actively participate in the Ferrari journey, 365 days a year.
Interactive features include:
- Fan messages: supporters can send personalised messages to the team and selected messages will be featured on Ferrari's social media and blog platforms.
- Interactive fan polls: daily voting opportunities on hot topics ranging from current race predictions to historic team moments.
- Iconic races: curated highlights and summaries from Ferrari's most memorable victories offer fans a nostalgic journey through the team's illustrious history.
The launch of the app marks only the beginning of what is expected to be a continuous stream of enhancements throughout 2025. IBM and Ferrari have committed to rolling out further features that leverage real-time analytics and AI to deepen fan interaction.
