EY's latest AI offering utilises NVIDIA technology
EY & NVIDIA collaborate on a new agentic solution to transform contract management & operational efficiency in the telco sector at MWC Barcelona 2025

EY has launched a new suite of artificial intelligence agents designed specifically for telecommunications providers, aiming to revolutionise contract management and operational efficiency across the industry.

The EY Telecom.ai suite was unveiled at MWC Barcelona 2025 and represents a significant advancement in how telecom companies can manage their vast networks of vendor contracts.

At the heart of this new offering is the Contract Intelligence (CI) agent which automates the extraction and analysis of critical information from telecommunication network vendor contracts.

“Businesses need strong AI ready data foundations to enable the next frontier of AI,” says EY's Richard Clough via LinkedIn.

“This suite of solutions streamline the extraction, analysis and reporting of essential structured and unstructured data, transforming traditionally time-consuming data gathering into a more informed structured and efficient AI-powered decision-making process.”

What are the challenges for vendors?

For telecommunications providers undergoing network modernisation, managing thousands of vendor contracts has become increasingly complex.

These contracts contain crucial elements including service levels, technical requirements and cost structures that directly impact network operations.

Traditional contract management approaches have often proved inadequate for efficient analysis, resulting in time-consuming and error-prone review processes.

The EY Telecom.ai solution aims to address these pain points by offering a structured approach to contract management.

The technological foundations of Telecom.ai

The new solution is built on NVIDIA AI Enterprise software and incorporates several advanced NVIDIA technologies including NIM microservices, NeMo Retriever, NeMo Guardrails and NVIDIA Blueprints that leverage RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).

This technological foundation enables the system to efficiently process large volumes of contracts while providing real-time visibility into contractual obligations and performance metrics.

The solution features a conversational AI interface for contract queries, automated analysis of financial and legal terms and performance data processing to evaluate service vendors.

Additionally it offers scenario planning capabilities for financial modelling of potential suppliers and customisable reporting metrics.

What impact might Telecom.ai have on the industry?

The introduction of this technology comes at a critical time for telecom providers who are seeking to modernise their networks to improve service reliability while simultaneously reducing operational costs.

"EY Telecom.ai Agentic Solution is a game-changer for the telecom industry, representing an immediate opportunity to simplify operations, enhance customer experience and drive innovation," Paolo adds.

The solution transforms what has traditionally been a time-consuming data gathering exercise into a structured and efficient AI-powered decision-making process.

For engineering teams, the technology provides real-time vendor insights that can enhance negotiation positions and improve strategic planning.

Chris Penrose, Global VP of Business Development for Telco at NVIDIA

"Telcos face an increasing need to modernise business operations to best meet the needs of their customers," explains Chris Penrose, Global VP of Business Development for Telco at NVIDIA.

"The EY Telecom.ai, powered by NVIDIA AI, empowers telcos to operate their business more effectively, enhance customer experiences and reduce operational costs.”

The financial implications for telecom providers could be substantial, with potential improvements in compliance management and financial forecasting capabilities.

By automating contract analysis, companies can potentially save significant time while reducing risk and improving decision-making across their organisations.

As telecommunications providers continue to navigate increasingly complex technological landscapes, solutions like EY Telecom.ai represent an important step toward more intelligent operations management and resource allocation.

The solution marks another significant development in the ongoing integration of AI technologies into core business processes across the telecommunications sector.
