Extreme Networks & Intel Forge Alliance to Elevate AI

Extreme Networks has shared that it has made a co-innovation alliance with the Intelâ Connectivity Analytics Programme to strengthen native AI capabilities within its Extreme AI Expert™ solution, currently in technology preview within Extreme Labs™.
This coalition aims to help customers optimise network performance, identify security threats, personalise end-user experiences and lower operational costs by leveraging network data, unique device data from PCs through the innovative Intel® Connectivity Analytics SDK and GenAI, which will make networks smarter, faster and more resilient.
Extreme Networks joins forces with Intel to advance GenAI tools and improve network management
Extreme Networks is a cloud networking company which connects devices, applications and people, using machine learning, AI, analytics and automation. Its end-to-end, cloud-driven networking solutions are trusted by 50,000 customers across the world.
As client devices rise in volume across network environments, users must have greater visibility into device activity, in addition to a simplified way to manage devices from the data centre to the network edge.
Extreme’s partnership with Intel will provide stronger visibility into network and client devices and push the development of GenAI tools to help customers optimise the design, deployment and management of enterprise networking and security. This will help to enhance network performance, adjust bandwidth to prioritise critical devices and upgrade security threat detection.
First introduced at Extreme Connect 2024, Extreme AI Expert unites documentation from Extreme’s knowledge bases with data from devices across customer networks to give insights and recommendations for the design, deployment and management of networks.
This partnership with Intel will merge Intel-connected device data to refine recommendations for customers and extend Extreme AI Expert’s knowledge. Extreme expects to start integrating Extreme AI Expert into Extreme solutions before 2025.
Advancing AI solutions through strategic partnership with Intel
Nabil Bukhari, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Extreme Networks, shared that the company was focused on advancing the network to improve human experiences and that partnering with Intel provides customers with a secure and streamlined way to gain visibility of their network and client devices within a single platform.
"It takes an ecosystem to build pragmatic AI solutions that enterprises can use today to solve real problems and address specific needs,” said Nabil. “There’s no one company that can do it on their own; that’s why we've joined forces with Intel to collaborate on innovation and drive AI forward. As we continue to push the boundaries with Extreme AI Expert we are focused on a very clear outcome: Reimagine every experience for our customers."
By augmenting its Extreme AI Expert solution with Intel® Connectivity Analytics, Extreme Networks will provide richer, more intuitive AI-driven insights and automation which results in smarter, more responsive experiences that enhance everything from network optimisation to swift security threat detection and resolution.
“The network is the hub of operations, innovation and experiences. By partnering with Extreme Networks, we’re collectively making the network smarter, faster, more secure and more scalable,” added Eric McLaughlin, VP & GM Wireless Solutions at Intel, Client Computing Group. “By leveraging the riches of AI-centric insights available through the millions of Intel-connected devices across the world and combining that with rich data from the network, we’ll help organisations reduce operational costs and provide best-in-class end-user experiences.”
