People Moves: Antonietta Mastroianni joins e& UAE

Antonietta Mastroianni has been appointed the role of Chief Information Officer at e& UAE, the largest telecommunications corporation in the Gulf Corporation Council.
Her new role follows four and a half years as Chief Digital and IT Officer at Proximus, the Belgium-based telecoms provider.
Alongside her role as CIO at e& UAE, Antonietta will continue to act as Board Observer for Lumine Group, a position she has held for almost three years.
Over two decades of experience
Antonietta has been working within the telco industry since 2001, beginning her career as a Business Analyst for Vodafone.
Since her very first role, Antonietta has been fortunate enough to gain an abundance of experience from the Roaming, Billing and Interconnection Lead Analyst at Wind Tre, an Italian telco company, to Group Chief Information Officer at TDC Group.
The future at e& UAE
Prior to announcing her new position, e& UAE announced its collaboration with AI Rayan Investments to connect over 42,000 residents within Abu Dhabi’s humanitarian and workforce communities alike.
Under the collaboration, e& UAE will design, deploy and manage a high-speed Wi-Fi network delivering reliable coverage, secure access, strong performance and centralised control across both communities.
In her new role, Antonietta will be supporting initiatives like this, and more besides. “This position marks an important step in my professional journey in the digital ecosystem, where I look forward to fostering value-based innovation and enabling technology-led sustainable growth together with energetic, talented teams and inspiring leaders," she said.
A celebrated leader in the telco sector
Over the years, Anonietta has been an active board member and advisor for several organisations, including ETIS (2018-2025), Gaia-X Association for Data and Cloud (2021-2025) and Prozimus Ada (2022-2025).
Such organisations and initiatives promote growth within the telco sector, women in tech and data and cloud sovereignty.
In the past six years she has been the recipient of many awards and recognitions for her leadership and achievements.
Such awards includes: the Telco CxO of the Year 2021, Telco Woman of the Year 2022, Network X 50 2022 and the InspiringFifty 2022.
