T-Mobile Unveils Edge Control and T-Platform for Enterprises

T-Mobile has launched two new offerings, Edge Control and T-Platform, within its Advanced Network Solutions (ANS) portfolio. The launch builds on its 5G Advanced network to provide enterprises with greater control, visibility and reliability for mission-critical connectivity.
The company positions its nationwide 5G Advanced network to support businesses operating in real-time environments such as manufacturing, healthcare, logistics and media, and has designed the new services for operations where data sensitivity, low latency and uptime are essential.
Industry organisations, including the PGA of America, Formula 1, the Heineken Las Vegas Grand Prix and the military, are exploring the use of new technologies to support high-performance data and operational workloads.
Mo Katibeh, Chief Marketing Officer of T-Mobile Business Group, says its approach focuses on simplifying connectivity while supporting enterprise innovation. “Networks should accelerate ambition, not hold it back,” he says.
“With Edge Control and T-Platform, we’re giving businesses tools to work faster, safer and smarter — while making network management as simple as it should be. This is what the future of connectivity looks like and it’s here today,” he adds.
Edge Control brings local data processing through 5G Advanced
Edge Control combines T-Mobile’s 5G Advanced network with Local Breakout technology to enable low-latency and secure data processing.
The platform allows enterprises to route and manage data traffic directly at the network edge, thereby reducing the distance information must travel between endpoints, servers and compute systems.
The technology offers a private-network-like performance without the need to deploy and manage physical infrastructure at each location.
For enterprises operating in environments that depend on rapid data exchange — such as hospitals, factories, or logistics hubs — it can reduce delays in data processing and improve control over sensitive information.
In healthcare, the use of AI-driven applications continues to increase, integrating predictive analytics and real-time patient monitoring into electronic health records. In 2024, 71% of hospitals reported using predictive AI systems with electronic health records, compared with 66% in 2023.
As these systems expand, connectivity demands are rising and traditional Wi-Fi infrastructure can present challenges in maintaining coverage and data security.
Edge Control addresses these needs by processing data closer to its source, either on private cloud platforms or on-premises infrastructure such as systems from Dell Technologies.
The approach enables organisations to comply with data sovereignty requirements and maintain latency performance while utilising existing technology environments.
T-Mobile’s Edge Control enables data to travel through fewer network “hops,” even when users are distributed across large geographic areas.
By creating a secure, localised route for data through T-Mobile’s network, Edge Control helps enterprises maintain consistent performance without relying on traditional VPN tunnels or complex multi-site configurations.
T-Platform unifies the management of T-Mobile for business solutions
The second component of the launch, T-Platform, provides a unified management environment that integrates T-Mobile’s business network solutions, including Edge Control.
Through a single interface, organisations can monitor, manage and optimise all their T-Mobile for Business services, from 5G Business Internet to IoT deployments and performance analytics.
T-Platform centralises network visibility and enables real-time decision-making across distributed operations.
A company managing thousands of vehicles, sensors and connected devices can now consolidate oversight of all assets into a single platform, replacing multiple management systems.
The unified view enables users to track performance, manage resources and identify operational insights without needing to switch between tools.
According to T-Mobile, the structure supports enterprise scalability by providing transparency across networks and locations while maintaining data security and compliance.
By simplifying the orchestration of 5G-enabled services, T-Platform aims to reduce operational complexity for enterprises that are expanding their digital and edge-based capabilities.
Mo says the two new services reflect T-Mobile’s focus on practical connectivity for enterprise customers.
“With Edge Control and T-Platform, we’re giving businesses tools to work faster, safer and smarter — while making network management as simple as it should be,” he says.
Edge Control and T-Platform advance enterprise connectivity strategy
Edge Control and T-Platform represent the next phase in T-Mobile’s strategy to expand its business services beyond mobile connectivity.
Its Advanced Network Solutions portfolio integrates 5G infrastructure with tools for automation, network visibility and secure data management.
Through Edge Control, enterprises can process and route information directly at the edge, maintaining control over data flow and sovereignty.
T-Platform provides the operational visibility required to manage these distributed assets.
Together, T-Mobile positions the services for adoption across industries with high data and uptime requirements, including media, entertainment, healthcare and the public sector.
By consolidating management and reducing latency, enterprises extend the use of AI and real-time analytics across their networks.
Mo says the company’s objective is to simplify access to advanced connectivity. “Networks should accelerate ambition, not hold it back,” he says.
