Millions of EE customers are set to benefit from a major uplift in mobile connectivity as the operator accelerates upgrades to its UK network, extending 5G+ coverage and introducing new performance-enhancing technologies.

The development builds on EE’s wider investment strategy, with its parent company BT Group committing £40bn (US$54bn) to national infrastructure.

Recent locations added to the 5G+ network include Aberystwyth, Antrim, Bangor, Barnsley, Cheltenham, Chichester, Cirencester, Dorchester, Erskine, Melton Mowbray, Merthyr Tydfil, Newbury, Preston, Salford and St Austell.

Circles, a global technology company that powers digital telco operators, today announced an AI concierge as part of its collaboration with OpenAI.

The launch marks a step in a multi-year effort to reshape how telco operators manage customer engagement and operations in an AI-first environment.

Built on OpenAI’s API platform, the AI concierge sits within Circles’ AI-native telco stack.

Kyivstar: Ukraine's Top Telco Surpasses $1bn Investment Goal

With ongoing military conflict in Ukraine, the ability for those within the country to communicate is both critical and highly reassuring.

VEON, the parent company of Kyivstar, announced that it has fulfilled its commitment to invest US$1bn in Ukraine over 2023-2027 ahead of schedule.

The companies delivered US$1.3bn between 2023 and April 2026, exceeding their original US$1bn commitment and reinforcing the country’s connectivity backbone under sustained pressure.

Executives
